The sisters also have a cupcake truck, Cupcakes for Courage, that uses proceeds to help fund cancer research. This cupcake is definitely for a good cause. 

At the Happy Apple Pie Shop, the employees laugh together so that your family can feast together. One of the secret ingredients here is happy employees. The Happy Apple is a “blended work environment” where people with and without developmental disabilities create handcrafted pies together.

The Happy Apple Pie Shop makes three seasonal pies every week as well as savory pot pies and quiches. Though this pie shop is an “apple-first” kind of place, the peach pie is a particular favorite for customers and staff alike.Make sure to come early, the pies sell out daily and when they’re gone…they’re gone!

Spilt Milk Pastry is a delight in every way. This small pastry shop is full of charm, and more importantly, absolutely delicious pastries. This one needs a bit of a backstory. Maria Turano came to the U.S from Calabria, Italy and opened up a small bake shop on the west side of Chicago. But now, that little bake shop has turned into a nationwide bread company loved by so many. And here at the Berwyn location, inside of Turanos you can find Mamma Susi’s, a bakery founded in 2008 named after the matriarch of the Turano family. Here, you can find fresh, delicious baked goods and free coffee with a purchase of $5 or more — a win win for everyone.
