The Cycle Brookfield Criterium

A criterium race, often referred to as a crit, is a fast-paced and exhilarating form of bicycle racing that takes place on a closed circuit or looped course. Unlike traditional road races that cover long distances, criteriums are typically held on shorter courses, usually within urban environments, allowing spectators to get a close-up view of the action. Criterium races are known for their high intensity and technical demands, with riders navigating tight corners, sharp turns, and sprinting along straightaways. The races are fast-paced, lasting anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, and are characterized by multiple laps that test the riders' agility, bike handling skills, and ability to strategically position themselves within the peloton. Criteriums are a thrilling spectacle that captivate both participants and spectators, creating an electric atmosphere filled with speed, tactics, and fierce competition.
