Meet us where sustainability and memories ignite
The sustainable candles at Warm Wick are handmade in small batches with love for the planet.
The jars are made up of 100 percent recycled glass, the wicks are made from organic hemp and coated with beeswax, and the packaging materials are 100 percent recycled and held together with eco-friendly reinforced kraft tape.
The candle wax is 100% natural soy and all ingredients are toxin free, ensuring a clean-burning experience.
As if that wasn’t enough to warm your heart, many warm wick candles also come with a story. For example, the Harvest Horchata candle reminds Warm Wick Owner Yezenia Tejeda of the horchata she and her siblings would sip on hot and humid summer days growing up in Chicago’s Little Village neighborhood.
Warm Wick is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 6pm.
The hand-poured, sustainable candles at Warm Wick are $22. Add a personalized photo and message for $5.
While you’re personalizing a gift at Warm Wick, stop by the neighboring candy shop Fill My Jar to personalize a jar filled with a handmade candy brick. Or stroll over to Vines and Vinyl for a succulent planted in a unique, repurposed pot.
Fed up with trying to find store-bought candles with all all-natural ingredients and organic scents, Yezenia Tejeda bought a candlemaking kit and rolled up her sleeves.
Before long, she was creating sustainable candles with scents that recalled her childhood growing up in the Little Village neighborhood of Chicago. With fragrances like La Playa and Harvest Horchata, you too can experience the Latin flavors of Tejeda’s memories.
Candles also come in seasonal scents like the spring collection’s La Lavanda or the summer collection’s Sangria candle.
Located at 3732 Prairie Avenue in Brookfield, Warm Wick is just 15 miles from downtown Chicago and eight miles from the Little Village neighborhood where owner Yezenia Tejeda grew up. The store is just a two-minute walk from the Brookfield Stop on the BNSF Railway.
