Meet us where vintage is new again
Marlene Tap spent 20 years in the corporate world before she turned her attention to a hobby that quickly grew into a passion: collecting Art Deco. Before long, she was standing in line at estate sales at ridiculous times in the morning and ditching her corner office to find antiques.
Now she owns the Forest Park Emporium, a collective of full-time dealers and collectors who sell antiques from the 1700s to the mid-century or, as they say at the Emporium, “from the Stone Age to the Space Age.”
The Emporium sells furniture, jewelry, vintage clothing, rocks, minerals, and art from across the ages, including, of course, Art Deco. Wander the booths to talk to the collectors and peruse the ever-changing stock of vintage jewelry from the mid-century, hand-blown glassware, or tabletop radios.
When a local business needs a vintage item for an event, you can bet that it’s the Forest Park Emporium that they turn to. That was true for the General Manager at O’Sullivan’s Public House when he needed a Prohibition Era record player.
He turned to the Forest Park Emporium for his antique needs and that, in part, earned him an award from the Historical Society of Forest Park!
You, too, should turn to the Emporium for all of your antique and vintage needs.
