Meet us where fine-crafted cigars are smoked
We don’t always associate the words “man cave” and “elegant,” but that’s just what you’ll find at Casa de Puros. An elegant man cave and cigar lounge where, fear not, women are absolutely welcomed.
In fact, women make up about 30 percent of the clientele at Casa de Puros where the owners pride themselves on creating a welcoming space for everyone.
Maybe that’s why so many people return regularly to Casa de Puros with its open-air lounge looking out onto Madison Street and its VIP lounge with its high-backed leather chairs and fireplace.
It’s a place where you can come to discuss all of the worries of life while enjoying all of the pleasantries of life.
Casa de Puros is open Monday through Thursday from 11am to 11pm, and Friday and Saturday from 11am to midnight.
Cigars range from just a few dollars to $80.
When you come into Casa de Puros, you’ll probably find Brandon Prince or Julienne Tooles in the lounge. Both started as employees at Casa where they learned all about cigars and the industry. Soon enough, they forged a shared dream to own the business.
The then-owner agreed to sell and, with a third investor, Prince and Tooles made their dream a reality.
Today they jokingly say they are full-time bar owners and part-time therapists since the intimate nature of the bar allows for deep conversation among the patrons, many of whom are regulars.
And even though they took over ownership of the lounge, Prince and Tooles never stopped learning. They can tell you just about anything there is to know about a cigar from its subtle notes to its aftertaste.
Conveniently located in Maywood at 1117 South 1st Avenue.
