The CarefulPeach is a unique boutique in Oak Park where European life is celebrated. When you walk into the Peach, you’ll feel like you walked into a shop in Paris!
The store offers both European-made and American-made products like handmade jewelry, accessories, table linens, home decor, and more. There is a mixture of vintage and new pieces, but all items seek to blend sophistication with whimsy.
This is the perfect place to shop for a gift. Especially since the Peach is also an eco-friendly store selling socially conscious products.
The all-natural soap sold here is made in southern France, using the same environmentally friendly method that was used to make the soap seven centuries ago. Of course, that’s not the only soap you can find at the Peach. You can also find cucumber soap or bourbon soap!
The CarefulPeach is open Monday through Friday from 10am to 7pm, Saturday from 10:30am to 6pm, and Sunday from noon to 5pm.
Costs vary depending on the product. Specialty soaps are about $10. A beautiful 14 kt Gold Diamond Trip Pendant is about $300.
Karen Morava opened the Peach in 2007 in the Oak Park Arts District. Morava has moved the shop twice and now she is in downtown Oak Park. No matter where she plants her boutique roots, Morava is the constant, patient, and kind presence you will find at the CarefulPeach.
She realized that she wanted to start a boutique specializing in high-quality European products when she visited Paris.
Now her store is a welcome escape for anyone feeling a little nostalgia for those beautiful Parisian streets. And it is the perfect place to find a gift!
Located at 1024 North Boulevard in Oak Park, the CarefulPeach is just 0.1 miles from the Harlem/Lake Stop on the CTA Green Line.
