Oak Park Festival Theatre is the Midwest’s oldest, professional, outdoor, classical theater. Oak Park Festival Theatre was founded in 1975 when actor and Oak Park resident Marion Karczmar “dreamed up” a production of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream to be performed on a flatbed truck.
