The Park District of Oak Park welcomes children ages 8 months to 5 years to make friends and play at Cubhouse Indoor Playground, a magical forest-themed play place with plenty of space to move and explore. Open during the fall and winter in the Park District’s Stevenson Center, the Cubhouse Indoor Playground offers a safe and clean infant area, daily crafts and story time, and an area created especially for building and climbing.
You can even rent out spaces to host your child’s birthday party! The Cubhouse Indoor Playground is open October through April, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm every Tuesday through Saturday. Shoes and food are not permitted in the playground area, and all children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.
The Social Play | 3741 Grand Boulevard, Brookfield
The Social Play provides a safe and fun indoor play space for children under the age of 5 to play and explore while their adults enjoy a comfortable spot by the window to sit back, relax, enjoy a delicious latte, cold brew, or espresso, and watch their kiddos play. The coffee bar serves coffee from TASA, a local women-owned roaster dedicated to sourcing beans from women-owned farms.

La Grange Park District Indoor Playground | 536 East Avenue, La Grange
The Park District of La Grange brings outdoor play inside. Its large indoor playground structure features several slides—a triple slide, double slide, and roller slide—and plenty of areas for your kiddos to climb on, as well as rock grips, a wavy wedge wall climber, hanging rings, bridges, monkey bars, and a tunnel. The playground has a rubberized floor and bright murals on all the walls. You can keep an eye on your kids from benches inside the playroom. There is a large open closet near the playground’s entrance to hang your coats or park your stroller.
The La Grange Park District indoor playground is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Sunday from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm. Upper’s Land | 25 W Calendar Avenue, La Grange
New to the neighborhood, Upper’s Land is a unique play-dining-retail experience in Calendar Court in downtown La Grange that delivers laughter and play. The creative space includes a play area of inflatable bouncing houses with slides, ball pits, and obstacle exercises; a sweet treats bar with bubble tea and shaved ice cream; and a mini market filled with trendy toys and delightful keepsakes. Recommended for children ages 3 to 7, a new themed bounce house will be introduced every season, plus pop-up inflatables for holiday events.
Upper’s Land is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. There is a maximum capacity of 20 children in the inflatable at one time. Upper’s Land is not a drop-off facility; a parent or guardian must be present. Adults can watch from a spot alongside the inflatables or a table by the cafe. No food is permitted in the bounce house area.
Waterlemon | 25 La Grange Rd, La Grange
Waterlemon is a stylish, modern, and completely adorable drop-in indoor play space and party venue perfect for birthdays, baby showers, and other mom-centric celebrations. This place even opens early—5:30 am on weekdays—a game changer for many moms! Located inside the Mayfair Recreation Center, part of the Westchester Park District, the Playbox is in a large room just past the front desk. It features a large, colorful, multi-level play structure with slides, tunnels, climbing areas, and plenty of opportunities for kids ages 2 to 6 to hang, swing, bounce, and explore. The toddler space offers a smaller climbing structure, a short slide, and a movable tic-tac-toe board. Everything here is soft, and the sides of the structure are netted to keep kids safe. Another great feature of the Playbox is the kid-friendly bathroom next to the play structure equipped with a changing table. It even has a shorter toilet and sink, perfect for kiddos who are potty training.
Geared for kids ages 2 to 6, Fox’s Playbox is open for walk-in visitors Monday through Friday from 5:30 am to 8:00 pm, Saturdays from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Sundays from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. Store your shoes in the convenient cubbies at the door and remember to bring socks for your kids; they must be worn at all times. Food and drinks are not allowed inside the Playbox, but you’re welcome to enjoy snacks from home at tables in the lobby, where you’ll also find vending machines.
