It's big, it's back, and it's better than ever! Make a plan to celebrate America Elmwood Park style! An entire day of fun and good times starting with our annual parade at 9 AM. Call your friends and family and save get ready for a fabulous 4th of July! The Parade kicks off on Fullerton Ave and 78th Ave and heads east before heading north towards Diversey Ave and finishing at the Village Hall on Grand Ave. The parade kicks off at 9am!

Fireworks at Riverside Golf Club | July 4th

Every year, the Riverside Golf Club in North Riverside sets the stage for a mesmerizing fireworks extravaganza that captivates both club members and residents alike. Established in 1893, this private 18-hole golf course has become synonymous with a fantastic fireworks display on the Fourth of July. If you're not a club member or a resident, don't fret! There are alternative viewing options available for you to enjoy the spectacle.

 

The fireworks will commence at 9:00 p.m., but be sure to plan ahead as gates open at 7:30 p.m. Due to road closures on Des Plaines Avenue between the railroad tracks and 26th street, it's advisable to arrive early or opt for alternative transportation methods such as walking or biking to the event. Club members, Riverside, and North Riverside residents, accompanied by valid IDs, are welcome to bring their families and guests along with blankets and chairs. However, outside food and beverages are not allowed, as refreshments will be available for purchase at the event. Non-residents can still join in the fun by heading to the North Riverside Village Commons area for an excellent vantage point to view the fireworks display.

4th of July Parade and Party in the Park | July 4th

Before the sky lights up with fireworks, the Fourth of July celebration kicks off earlier in the day with a vibrant parade at 10am, commencing at 9th Avenue and 26th Street. Follow the parade as it travels down 26th Street, culminating at Veterans Park. There, residents can gather to pay tribute to the USA with a grand salute before the Little Leaguers take the field, showcasing their skills and dedication. 

 

Later in the day, head over to Village Commons, where a delightful lineup of activities awaits. Kids will be entertained with various attractions, and food vendors will be offering their favorite dishes with an array of delicious options. To top it all off, enjoy a captivating performance by Maggie Speaks from 7pm to 9pm. Join in for a day filled with community, fun, and celebration as we honor the 4th of July in North Riverside!

This charming village is gearing up to host a spectacular array of festivities to honor America's independence. On the 3rd, you can experience an unforgettable evening of music and festivities at Guthrie Park.

 

The park opens at 5:00pm and the opening ceremonies kick off at 6:00pm, featuring a heartfelt rendition of the National Anthem by the talented Jennifer Pollock. Then, from 7:00pm to 10:00pm, get ready to groove as Libido Funk Circus takes the stage, bringing their infectious energy and captivating performance. While enjoying the music, you can satisfy your cravings with delicious food and beverages available for purchase from La Barra Riverside, Riverside Foods, BuckleDown Brewing, EMPANADUS, and Tropical Sno. Riverside Parade | July 4th

Get ready for an action-packed 4th of July in Riverside, IL! The day kicks off at 7:30am with the 45th Annual Independence Day 5k, organized by Riverside Parks & Recreation. Lace up your running shoes and join in for a morning of fitness and fun.

 

At 8:45am, the highly anticipated Independence Day Parade begins, following the theme of "Friends, family, and fun by your Riverside!" The parade commences at Big Ball Park and proceeds south down Longcommon Road, concluding at Guthrie Park. It's a spectacle not to be missed!

 

Once the parade wraps up, head over to Guthrie Park for the Festival in the Park from 10am to 1pm. Enjoy delicious brats, get your face painted, sip on refreshing lemonade, and partake in even more activities. Don't forget the little ones—the Tot Trot kicks off at 11am, giving the youngest participants a chance to join in the racing excitement.
