Meet us where retro bowls a perfect strike
Since 1941, Circle Lane Bowling has been a gathering place for competitive fun in Forest Park.
While the 18 lanes for bowling are modernized for automatic score-keeping and a quick ball return but the feel of the place is an old-school, vintage, bowling alley with decor that recalls the 70s and 80s.
Reviewers say it’s like walking into a time warp!
This is the perfect place to come with the family (eight lanes are equipped with bumpers if needed) or for a date (the full bar pours cocktails and pints).
There is also a billiards room for those who fancy a table game.
Circle Lanes opens at noon Monday through Thursday and at 10am Friday through Sunday. The bowling alley closes, well, whenever it closes.
A game will cost you between $3.50 and $5 depending on the day of the week and the time of your visit. Shoe rental is $3. Cash only!
The Stutz family has long owned Circle Lanes. Zyg and Bonnie Stutz took over the operation in 1988, and the alley is still in the hands of the Stutz family. You may find Drew Stutz at the alley, ensuring your vintage bowling experience is a win.
Circle Lane is conveniently located a 0.2-mile walk from the Harlem/Lake Stop on the CTA Green Line and less than a mile walk from the Harlem Stop on the Blue Line. The address is 7244 Circle Avenue in Forest Park.
