Meet us where the peacocks roam

With more than 200 acres where both humans and peacocks can freely roam, the Brookfield Zoo houses more than 450 species of animals. It is easy to spend an entire day here where family fun takes a walk on the wild side just outside of Chicago.

Feed the giraffes, walk along paths lined with animated dinosaurs, stroll through the “rain forest” to view clouded leopards, and pet the goats at the Hamill Family Wild Encounters exhibit.

Don’t miss the monkeys of Tropic World and make sure to meet the tuxedoed hosts of Brookfield at the Penguin Encounters exhibit. There is also a chance to see a bald eagle, or a Mexican gray wolf, or even a grizzly bear in the Great Bear Wilderness.

The dolphins also put on a spectacular aerial show that is both captivating and educational. In fact, throughout your entire experience at the zoo, you’ll find ample opportunities for hands-on learning about animal care and conservation.
