Bring your family for a walk on the wild side! With its 235 acres, Brookfield Zoo Chicago is home to more than 3,500 animals representing over 500 species of animals, making it an easy place to spend an entire day,

Feed the giraffes, walk along paths lined with animated dinosaurs, stroll through the “rain forest” to view clouded leopards, and pet the goats at the Hamill Family Wild Encounters exhibit.

Don’t miss the monkeys of Tropic World and make sure to meet everyone's favorite swimming birds at the Penguin Encounters exhibit. You can also see a bald eagle, Mexican gray wolves or even a grizzly bear in the Great Bear Wilderness.

The dolphins also put on a spectacular aerial show that is both captivating and educational. In fact, throughout your entire experience at the zoo, you’ll find ample opportunities for hands-on learning about animal care and conservation.

Open 363 days a year, any day is a good day to go see the animals at Brookfield Zoo Chicago! Though, there is something magical about the holiday season at the zoo. During select days in November through January, you can wander through more than 2 million lights at the annual “Holiday Magic” light festival.

HOLIDAY MAGIC HOURS: 3pm-9pm

Military Personnel: Admission is free for active, reservist, and retired members of the U.S. Armed Forces.

Some exhibits have individual entrance fees. Annual members enjoy free admission.

Ride the narrated "Motor Safari" around the property for a guided tour of the zoo! Your ticket ($6) is good all day, so hop on whenever your legs need a rest.

For a self-guided tour, strollers, wheelchairs, and EVCs (electronic convenience vehicles) are available for rent.

Take Metra’s BNSF Line from downtown Chicago to the Zoo Stop or take Pace Bus Route 331. Parking is available at the north and south gates ($15 to park).
