When you team up with the “Axe-pert” axe throwers at the Axeclusive Axe Throwing and VR Lounge in Schiller Park, it won’t take long at all before you are throwing an axe like a pro!
It takes just five to 10 minutes to learn to throw, and then you and your group will compete for the unique title of the best axe thrower!
But that’s not the only thing you can do at this entertainment center. You can also rent a virtual reality room.
In the VR lounge, you will be transported to another dimension. You can ninja chop fruit or fly anywhere in the world. You can ride a roller coaster, play in a ping-pong league, or climb Mount Everest!
Here you will rent a room with your friends and then each person takes a turn, choosing a personal and immersive experience.
Axeclusive Axe Throwing and VR Lounge is open Tuesday through Thursday from 4pm to 8pm, Friday from 4pm to 11pm, Saturday from 1pm to 11pm, and Sunday from 1pm to 8pm. This entertainment zone is closed on Mondays.
Walk-ins are welcomed and private event scheduling is available.
Axe throwing is $25 per person per hour for a group sized one to eight people. For groups sized nine to 24 people, the price is $23 per person per hour. For groups sized 25 or more, the price is $21.
Virtual reality rooms are rented for $55 per hour.
You will be taught by an expert axe thrower who will be your guide. You’ll also have virtual reality experts to help you set up your VR lounge comfortably.
Located at 4938 River Road in Schiller Park, Axeclusive Axe is about a 25-minute drive from downtown Chicago. It is possible to take the “L” Blue Line Train to Rosemont. From the Rosemont Stop, it’s about a 25-minute walk to Axeclusive Axe Throwing.
Stop in at Short Fuse Brewing just down the road to make a day of it. Or get a little scared at the 13th Floor Haunted House down the block!
