Meet us where Italian and Chicago-style are intertwined
It’s Italian comfort food at its best at Victory Italian where famed Chef Joe Farina serves up house-made pasta, prime steaks, and classic parmesans in Oak Park’s Pleasant District.
Some of the must-try dishes on Victory’s menu include Joe’s Mama’s Meatballs which are housemade with marinara and whipped ricotta. Then there is Nanna’s Gravy, a slow-braised pot roast in red-wine crushed tomato sauce served over house-made rigatoni and topped with fresh ricotta.
The Mile High Lasagna is as big as it sounds with meat layered with mozzarella and baked to golden brown perfection. We also love Aunt Angie’s Stuffed Shells filled with spinach, ricotta, mozzarella, and vodka sauce.
Of course, you’ll want to try the 2018 People’s Choice Bacon Fest Winner! That’s homemade agnolotti stuffed with ricotta, parmesan, and, of course, bacon, all in a sage butter sauce. Yum!
Opt for a seat indoors with classic Italian music playing overhead, or settle into a table on the sprawling patio.
The Victory Italian Oak Park restaurant is open Sunday through Thursday from 3pm to 10pm and Friday and Saturday from noon to 11pm. Curbside, carryout, and delivery are available.
Joe’s Mama’s Meatballs are $16. Make it a meatball salad for $19. The Bacon Fest winning dish is $22. Aunt Angie’s Stuffed Shells are $18 while the Mile High Lasagna is $24. Nanna’s Gravy is $23.
Wines are offered by the glass and by the bottle.
