Meet us where
At Sushi House Oak Park you will find traditional dishes updated with a modern twist. Classic sushi rolls, sashimi, bento boxes, and cooked Asian dishes beckon you through the door and into the restaurant’s welcoming Japanese decor.
We love the classic Fire Dragon Sushi Roll with shrimp tempura, kanikama, seared salmon, white tuna, and spicy mayo and the Pork Ramen Noodle Soup with pork broth, chasu pork, soft-boiled egg, seaweed, fish cake, and scallions.
The Oak Park Sushi House is also home to the Dragon Lounge, an exotic nightspot that hosts live jazz and more.
Sushi House Oak Park is open Monday through Thursday from 11:30am to 10pm, Friday through Saturday from 11:30am to 11pm, and Sunday from noon to 9pm.
Sushi rolls at the Sushi House Oak Park range from about $6 to about $15.
In the mid-90s, the first Sushi House was opened in Westmont by a determined female business owner named Diana who ignored the skepticism from her friends and family who said Americans wouldn’t eat raw fish.
It turns out that Diana was right. Chicagoans loved the restaurant and the Sushi House now has eight locations, including the one in Oak Park managed by Cathy Li & Steve Qi.
The husband and wife duo is known as the life of the party. And that’s a good thing since Sushi House Oak Park is the only location with a hard liquor license! Stop by for a drink with Cathy and Steve at the underground Dragon Bar Lounge.
Sushi House Oak Park is located at 1107 Lake Street. It’s less than a five-mile walk from the Harlem/Lake Stop on the CTA Green Line and just a 10-mile drive from downtown Chicago.
