Meet us where
This seafood market in Maywood specializes in seafood-forward soul food. The Louisiana-style cajun and creole seafood at Surfs Up Maywood is never frozen and the lobster, shrimp, and catfish are hand-breaded and fried to perfection.
Of course, you can also get your soul food grilled or even vegan. Try the grilled shrimp and fish for a healthier option or the Shock ‘N Shrimp for a vegan option.
For us, though, when at Surfs Up Maywood, we are diving right in for the Fried Lobster Po’Boy. We also love the family feasts if you need to feed a group. The Beach Feast includes crab legs, lobster, a half-pound of shrimp, turkey sausage, corn, and red potatoes. Eat up!
The restaurant is open Monday through Saturday from noon to 8pm and Sunday from 11am to 8pm. Sunday is called Soul Food Sunday at Surfs Up Maywood, so that’s a great time to stop by!
Sandwiches range from about $9 to about $17 for the Fried Lobster Po’Boy. Shrimp is about $9 for a quarter pound and $23 for a full pound. Family feasts range from about $22 to $65 for the Beach Feast.
The Surfs Up restaurants are a black-owned franchise founded by Eric and Denise Roy with several establishments around the Chicagoland area.
Surfs Up Maywood is located 12 miles west of downtown Chicago in Maywood at 713 Roosevelt Road.
