Meet us where chicken is “broasted”
This was one of the first fast-food restaurants in the area and it still has everyone talking! Rocky’s Gyros is a family-owned restaurant that has some of the best gyros and “broaster” chicken in town.
Let’s start with the broasted chicken dinners! This healthier way of cooking chicken makes for fresher, juicier meat inside a super crunchy coating. Dinners range from four pieces to 40 pieces and include french fries (broasted or regular!), coleslaw, a corn coblette, and bread.
The delicious gyros come with a special tzatziki sauce upon a fresh pita. But that’s not the only kind of sandwich here! Try the Ribeye Steak Sandwich on garlic bread or the Philly Steak Sandwich with mozzarella cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, green peppers, and grilled onions.
The burgers and hot dogs here are always a good choice at Rocky’s. The Rocky Burger is a half-pound double cheeseburger with bacon and the Footlong Maxwell Street Polish Sausage is aptly named. Add french bread, grilled onions, hot peppers, mustard, and some fries to complete your sausage meal.
We also love the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with buffalo hot sauce and blue cheese.

Rocky’s Gyros is open Monday through Saturday from 11am to 9pm. Closed Sunday.
Sandwiches and salads range from $6 to $12. Gyros are about $8 or $12 for a plate that includes two pitas, extra meat, fries, and a salad. Hot dogs range from $5 to $10 for the footlong dog. Burgers range from $5 to about $9.
The broasted chicken dinners range from $11 for a four-piece dinner to $113 for a 40-piece dinner that feeds the whole family!
Located at 5319 St. Charles Road in Berkeley, Rocky’s Gyros is just over one mile from the Berkeley Stop on the Union Pacific-West Metra Train.
