River Forest Chocolates

Meet us where life is sweeter

You will feel the charm and smell the sweetness the moment you step into River Forest Chocolates where retro and penny candy line the shelves alongside gourmet confections.

The shop grew quickly in popularity thanks to its signature English toffee and mouth-watering caramels not to mention hand-dipped ice cream bars and frozen chocolate bananas.

You won’t want to miss the River Forest Mix Popcorn with sweet caramel and salty cheese flavors mixed together, or the giant marshmallows dunked in milk chocolate that results in the decadent S’More Pops.

We also love the Chocolate Gummy Bears and the Gran Marnier Pecans!

River Forest Chocolates is also committed to sustainability from production to packaging and earned the Illinois Green Business Association Award in 2013.

Madonna Fantetti-Slepicka opened River Forest Chocolates in 2010, bringing a lifelong love for baking and cooking to a brick-and-mortar shop. Her motto is that “chocolate makes life a little sweeter.”

River Forest Chocolates was so popular that Fantetti-Slepicka was able to expand the shop in the fall of 2017, moving from its original location on Lake Street to a larger shop three blocks down the street.
