The vintage look, classic flavors and picnic style outdoor area have stayed constant through the decades. The soft-serve ice cream can be dipped in a number of coatings (peanut butter, chocolate and cherry), covered in sprinkles or tucked into sundaes, smoothies and shakes.
Polar Bear also dishes up savory American fare, including burgers, hot dogs and sandwiches. Want fries with that? They have them – and nachos too!
Polar Bear is open during the summer season from 2 pm to 9 pm Monday through Thursday (until 9:30 pm on Friday nights), and from 1 pm until 9:30 pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
You can get most ice cream treats for less than $5. Lunch or dinner meal options, depending on the side you select, will add up to $10-$15 per person.
Several generations of the Hwang family have managed Polar Bear for more than 20 years. Keep in mind that there’s more than just ice cream here. Polar Bear also offers hamburgers, hot dogs and fries for a more complete meal!
