Parky’s has offered old-style Chicago hot dogs and fries since 1947. In addition to its fast-food offerings, this easygoing hot dog joint is also known for its intriguing exterior design, including a wall of windows and a patio. Beyond the hot dogs, Parky’s specials include a sausage sandwich trimmed out with grilled onons, hot giardiniera and mustard. Parky’s is located at 329 Harlem Ave. in Forest Park, and is open Monday through Saturday from 10 am – 7:45 pm. It’s also open Sundays, but closes earlier, at 5:45 pm.
