Meet us where Americana is on the menu
This isn’t your average fast-food joint. Mickey’s Drive-in is a tradition in good food and Americana.
Ann Sangiacomo opened the restaurant in 1959 when eating a hot dog or a pile of chili-cheese fries on the hood of your car was a Saturday night out. The drive-in remains a family-owned mom-and-pop business to this very day.
A Bellwood landmark, Mickeys serves good food at a good price without being bothered with fussy things like tables and chairs.
Make sure to try the authentic Chicago-style hot dog when you drive in. A Chicago dog comes complete with sweet onions, tomato, sport peppers, a dill pickle (quartered), relish, celery salt, and yellow mustard served on a poppy-seed bun.
(Important note for visitors: There is never ketchup served on an authentic Chicago dog.)
You’ll find the real deal recipe at Mickey’s Drive-In on top of the real-deal hot dog. This joint is an inductee to the Vienna Beef Hall of Fame.
Any time of year is a good time to eat at Mickey’s.
REGULAR HOURS:
Monday-Thursday from 10:30am-10:00pm

Closed Sundays
A little bit has changed since the days when Mickey’s first opened and the menu boasted a hot dog, fries, and drink for 37 cents with tax.
But this is still a very affordable drive-in dining experience with a Chicago-style hot dog and fries costing just $3.89.
Every one of Annie and Mickey’s four children met their spouse at the restaurant, so you know the business is a family affair.
Their grandchildren represent the fourth generation to turn on the grill at Mickey’s, so you are sure to meet the family behind this Bellwood staple when you drive in for a hot dog or a sloppy joe.
Located at 635 Mannheim Road in Bellwood, Illinois, Mickey’s is just a 25-minute drive from downtown Chicago.
