Meet us where Italy comes to Illinois
It’s understandable if you can’t figure out where on the menu to begin at Massa Cafe Italiano!
There is the Sicilian-style pizza like the Spinach & Ricotta pie with fresh tomato sauce, spinach, roasted garlic, and a mixture of fresh ricotta, mozzarella, and pecorino romano cheeses. Then there are the authentic pasta dishes like the 8 Finger Cavatelli with vodka sauce and pecorino romano cheese.
But will that leave room for the delicious and fresh salads that are perfect for enjoying on an Italian-style patio? The Caprese Salad with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, basil, and drizzled with olive oil is a menu favorite.
The gelato at Massa Cafe is made onsite daily and was voted “Best in America” in 2016 during the World Gelato Tour. The delicious Chicago Pothole flavor is the Massa Cafe take on Rocky Road, but there are more than 60 flavors that rotate seasonally. If the Pistacchio is available, don’t miss your chance for that scoop!
The menu is rounded out by the premium coffee and espresso roasted locally by Vero Coffee.
It is nearly impossible to choose from among the delicious dishes at Massa Cafe, especially since all the items are made-to-order.
Massa Cafe is open Sunday through Thursday from 11am to 9pm and Friday and Saturday from 11am to 10pm. The summer months are particularly delightful at this Italian-style cafe with a sunny patio.
Angelo and Giovanna Lollino will welcome you onto the sun-soaked patio of Massa Cafe Italiano on Elmwood Park’s Restaurant Row. The husband-and-wife team partners with influential chefs, food distributors, and local vendors to create an authentic, fresh Italian experience.
The Lollinos like to say that Massa Cafe will cure your craving for a traditional Italian meal while saving you the cost of a flight to Italy!
Located at 7434 W. North Avenue, Massa Cafe Italiano is about a one-mile walk from the Elmwood Park Stop on the Milwaukee District Metra line. The café is a 20-minute drive from downtown Chicago. Street parking is available.
