Walking into Marco’s Kitchen in La Grange is like traveling back in time. The dining room is 1920s Art Deco, combining candlelit romance with carefully curated dishes.
Try the Bevan’s Prime Oysters on the Half Shell or the Pan-Seared Cinnamon Chipotle Rubbed Diver Scallops with apple-wood bacon and maple beurre blanc.
If that sounds like a mouthful, it’s because it is. A delicious one! A meal here is a dining experience with thoughtful dishes that provide a tasty tour around the world.
There is the Escargot with Porcini Mushrooms imported from France and Italy, the Black Truffle Burrata Bruschetta inspired by Italy, and the Spicy Chorizo Stuffed Dates inspired by the Middle East, Mexico, and the United States.
And that was just for starters!
The Marco’s Kitchen menu gets even better with dishes like the Double-Cut Pistachio Encrusted Lamb Chops inspired by the Middle East and Japan. Or the Boursin and Asparagus Stuffed Beef Tenderloin Tournedos inspired by France and the United States.
Marco’s Kitchen is open Wednesday through Saturday from 5pm to 9:30pm. Reservations are highly recommended.
Marco’s entrees range from $29 to $115 for two tails of Oven Roasted Brazilian Lobster Tail. Starts range from $18 to $30.
Owner Marco Conte is the proprietor behind the upscale international fusion you’ll find at Marco’s Kitchen. The menu reflects Conte’s love for cooking and for travel.
This isn’t Conte’s first restaurant endeavor. He opened his first restaurant at the age of 25 near Detroit where he grew up working in the industry. Soon after, he was recruited to the head chef position at Elmhurst’s Cafe Amano.
But it is owning his own restaurant that was the dream for Conte, and Marco’s Kitchen is that dream come true.
Marco’s Kitchen is located at 26 South La Grange Road. It’s a three-minute walk from the La Grange Road Stop on the BNSF Metra.
