Lalo's Restaurant

3011 South Harlem Avenue
Berwyn, IL 60402

Meet us where tacos are only the beginning

Lalo’s is a family-owned restaurant that has changed the landscape of Mexican cuisine in Chicago.

It all started nearly 30 years ago with one 24-seat restaurant where authentic dishes with top-quality ingredients were served from a roster of family recipes.

The idea behind the plate was to expand the idea of Mexican food far beyond the taco. The menu introduced dishes like Guisado de Lomo, chopped ribeye grilled in a special combination of spices, and Quesadillas Sincronizadas, ham and cheese pressed between tortillas and grilled.

The authentic, family recipes grew popular fast, overflowing the capacity of the original dining room. Now Lalo’s has 12 locations around Chicago, including one on Harlem Avenue in Berwyn.

Come for dinner and try the Camarones Al Mojo de Ajo and enjoy shrimp basted in fresh tomato and garlic butter sauce paired with seafood empanadas. Don’t worry, you can still find the staples like tacos and enchiladas on the menu.
