Jimmy Jodoin started Jimmy’s Place with his late wife, Freminnie, in 1998. Freminnie was born and raised in Forest Park in an Italian family where her Grandma’s recipes filled the dining table.
Those are the very recipes that are cooked at Jimmy’s Place to this day. Drawing from her family experience in the restaurant industry and using her Grandmother’s time-tested recipes, Fremminnie ran the back-of-the-house operations while Jimmy handled the front and the bar.
Today’s family-friendly atmosphere at Jimmy’s is one of Freminnie’s lasting legacies.
Located at 7411 W Madison Street in Forest Park, Jimmy’s Place is about a mile walk from the Forest Park Stop on the CTA Blue Line.
