Meet us for tasty tacos
At Gringo and Blondie, the flavors of classic Mexican street food are captured in fresh, made-to-order tacos, burritos, cemitas, and more.
Try the Blondie Taco with portobello, red pepper, poblano pepper, onion, epazote, avocado, and queso fresco. Or try the Gringo Taco with slow-roasted beef, pickled onion, cilantro, and cotija cheese. All tacos are served with a corn tortilla.
For your burrito, choose from carne asada, al pastor, chicken adobado, or veggie. Or make it a burrito bowl!
Cemitas are fresh sesame-seed rolls with an avocado spread, chipotle cream, sliced tomato, pickled onion, and Oaxaca cheese. Choose from breaded crispy chicken, chargrilled skirt steak, marinated chicken, spit-roasted pork, or mixed veggies.
Gringo and Blondie is open Sunday through Thursday from 11am to 9pm and Friday and Saturday from 11am to 10pm. The brunch menu is available Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 2pm.
Taco Tuesday is a great time to swing by Gringo and Blondie when Tacos are $2.50 all day! On Thirsty Thursday, margaritas and beer are 50 percent off.
Tacos are about $5. Burritos are about $12. Don’t miss Taco Tuesday or Thirsty Thursday when tacos are $2.50 and some drinks are half-off.
Angelo and Giovanna Lollino are the husband and wife team behind Gringo and Blondie. They are foodies who love Mexican street food, and that’s just what you’ll find at the taqueria!
Part of creating a restaurant is doing lots of research, and the two visited many of the taco joints throughout Chicagoland and made many trips to Mexico to perfect their flavors.

Gringo and Blondie is located at 7514 West North Avenue in Elmwood Park. It’s about one mile from the Elmwood Park Stop on the Milwaukee District West Metra Train.
