Meet us for farm-to-table dining
In the heart of downtown La Grange, Chef Bret Bohning conducts traffic in the bustling kitchen of Fourteensixteen where plates of seasonal dishes made with fresh, sustainable ingredients are prepared with care.
Bohning loves to shop at the local market and to buy from local farms to create his daily specials. Try Pork Tenderloin with sweet corn and zucchini or the prosciutto flatbread with smoked gouda, pear, and honey.
The wood-fired steaks like the Filet Mignon and Prime Hanger come from Creekstone Farms and are served with garlic greens, potatoes, and bordelaise.
At Fourteensixteen the cocktails are given just as much care as the special of the day. Try the Witches Nightcap with Cabernet Sauvignon, spiced rum, and blood orange, or sip the namesake Fourteensixteen with redemption rye, sherry, grand poppy, and bitters.
What’s with the name you ask? It’s as straightforward as the farm-fresh ingredients you’ll find on your table. The restaurant is located at 14-16 Calendar Ave.
Whether you are sipping from the special libations menu on the rooftop terrace or settling in for a full chef-inspired meal in the dining room, an evening spent at Fourteensixteen is a gastronomical experience to be remembered.
Fourteensixteen is open for dinner seven days a week: Monday through Sunday from 4pm to close (around 10pm). The bar stays open an hour after the kitchen closes.
Takeout is available Sunday through Thursday from 5pm to 8:30pm, and Friday and Saturday from 5pm to 9pm.
Entrees at Fourteensixteen range from $19-33. The woodfired steaks range from $30 to $60 for a 12-oz prime ribeye from E3 Farms. The special libations are $12.
Chef Bret Bohning is your gastronomical guide throughout your dining experience. If you’re lucky, you might even snag a seat at the chef’s table that looks right into the kitchen. At this special table, you can enjoy a special tasting menu prepared by the chef just for you.
Named for its location at 14-16 Calendar Ave., the restaurant location couldn’t be more convenient! In the heart of downtown La Grange, this dining destination is just steps from the La Grange Road stop on the BNSF Metra.
