Pass the duck fat, please! It’s the FatDuck Fries that give this tavern and grill in Forest Park its name, but it’s the atmosphere that gives it its feel-good reputation.
The FatDuck Tavern and Grill serves up creative pub grub that is finger-licking good in a pub with a chill, family-friendly vibe.
You can order the DuckFat Burger with brie, applewood bacon, caramelized onion, and served, of course, with a side of those DuckFat Fries. It’s not all about the duck fat, though. The owner of FatDuck is particularly proud of the Pot Roast Nachos!
Pair it all with a signature cocktail like the FatDuck Old Fashioned with Templeton Rye Whiskey, simple syrup, muddled orange, and a dash of bitters.
FatDuck Tavern and Grill is open every day from 11am to 1pm. The kitchen closes at 10pm Sunday through Thursday and at 11pm Friday and Saturday.
Every Tuesday night is trivia night at FatDuck.
Don’t miss happy hour at FatDuck. Monday through Thursday from 4pm to 6pm, the signature cocktails and craft drats are $1 off and you can knock 25 percent off the regular menu appetizers.
The FatDuck fries are about $7 and include roasted garlic aioli, Mexican pesto, and sriracha mayo. The FatDuck Burger is about $16. The Pot Roast Nachos are about $14.
The FatDuck Old Fashioned is $10. Knock off a dollar during Happy Hour.
Owner Dennis Miller will be found tending to the creative pub grub you will find on the menu at FatDuck. He is a veteran of the restaurant industry, and he hopes that you’ll remember the FatDuck Tavern and Grill the next time you are dreaming of a good meal.
FatDuck is on the corner of Elgin Avenue and Madison Street in Forest Park. Just over a half-mile walk from both the CTA Blue Line stop called Harlem and the CTA Green Line stop called Harlem/Lake, FatDuck Tavern and Grill is conveniently located at 7218 Madison Street.
