Fairgrounds Coffee & Tea

Meet us where joy is brewed

When Fairgrounds Coffee and Tea opened its fourth location in Oak Park, it brought a joyful and expansive patio to Lake Street.

Patios are, by their nature, joyful but Fairgrounds is a brand that is focused on joy. The name itself is born from that childhood feeling of delight when we were set loose with a roll of tickets to explore the fair.

Even as we reached our teen and adult years, the fairgrounds were a place to bump into old friends or maybe even spark new romances, which is exactly the vibe Fairgrounds hopes to capture in its welcoming space.

The name is also an apt play on words for the company’s belief in fair business practices and a commitment to establishing equality between coffee and tea.

At Fairgrounds Coffee and Tea Oak Park, you can sip unique drinks billed as “elevated elixirs”. Try the Alternative Energy Elixer (black and tan coffee with grass-fed butter and coconut oil) or a Power Flower Milk Tea (matcha, jasmine butterfly pea flower tea, jasmine simple syrup, and coconut milk).

You can explore the world by way of your beverage with a Thai Tea Latt (cold-brewed Thai black tea, sweetened condensed milk, and simple syrup) or a Vietnamese Cold Brew Elixer (condensed milk, cinnamon, and milk.)

Try the coffee-version of a cocktail with Grandpa Irv’s Espresso Old Fashioned (espresso, walnut bitters, orange peel, and simple syrup) or the Rainforest Remedy Elixer (matcha, frozen pineapple, and coconut milk).

Breakfast is served all day at Fairgrounds. The Bad Hass Avocado Toast is a favorite as is the Nutella and Banana Toast.

Of course, you can also get funnel cake fries!
