Meet us where giant burritos are a family tradition
When word got out that El Faro #2 quietly opened its doors in Riverside, word spread fast and the line stretched around the block for the famous burritos.
And for good reason! The Zavala family has perfected the giant burrito in more than four decades of making made-to-order Mexican fare at their original location in Summit. The family is proud to bring their famous burritos to Riverside and customers are certainly glad that they are here!
Try the Chile Relleno Combo Burrito with your choice of meat, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, flavorful beans, and fluffy rice. Top it with fresh-made salsa from the salsa bar! Or opt for tortas, tacos, or quesadillas.
All of the food at El Faro #2 from the breakfast egg tacos to the breaded steak tortas are made fresh when you order.
The Riverside El Faro location is open from 8am to 10pm seven days a week.
Giant Burritos range from $7-$9. Tacos and tostadas range from about $3 each. Tortas range from $6-$8.
In 1980, the Zavala family opened the original El Faro in Summit. More than 40 years later, the well-loved giant-sized burritos have made their way to Riverside!
When you order at the Riverside El Faro #2, you may find one of the Zavalas working at the family-owned business. They bring a touch of Mexico to the restaurant with colorful handmade tablecloths and artwork featuring cacti and sombreros.
While the challenges of the last couple of years necessitated a shift in the business to offering takeout orders, the welcoming décor at El Faro #2 is meant to encourage guests to dine in. The family has long believed that fresh meals are best when enjoyed just after they are cooked.
El Faro #2 is located at 3422 S. Harlem Ave. in Riverside. It’s the sister location to the famous 24-hour El Faro in Summit.
