Meet us where Mexican meals are perfectly seasoned
El Burrito Amigo is a popular place that has been serving up breakfast, lunch and dinner for nearly two decades. Longtime customers say it’s like being in Mexico City. Dished up in generous servings, the carne asada comes tender and grilled to perfection as does the pork in the al pastor selections. You’ll also find chicken, picadillo (ground beef), and beef tripe, tongue and head selections available as tacos, gorditas and as dinners.
El Burrito Amigo’s Franklin Park location is open from 9 am to 9 pm Monday through Saturday and from 9 am to 8 pm on Sunday.
Freshly made tacos start at $3; burritos cost about $10. Breakfast selections like huevos con chorizo (served with beans, rice and tortillas) average $8. A full skirt steak dinner will cost about $25.
El Burrito Amigo opened its doors in the early 1990s, after its founder, wanting to open his own business, took over a restaurant on Chicago’s Northwest side with no previous restaurant experience. A focus on high-quality food and customer service quickly made it a success. The Ruelas have made it their own by perfecting their seasonings and combining new and old family recipes. After a decade they brought El Burrito Amigo to Franklin Park.
El Burrito Amigo is located at 9503 Grand Avenue, between Edgington Street and 25th Avenue, in Franklin Park.
