The Daly Bagel is more than a place for fresh bagels, it's a place for bagel lovers to meet, share cream cheese recipes, and swap sandwich-making tips.
This bagel shop started with a handful of bagel lovers who joined in Amanda Daly’s kitchen in 2018 for a “bagel bake.” From there, the group of bagel enthusiasts grew as they perfected their techniques for baking the perfect bagel with a soft dough and chewy texture.
As word of mouth spread, Daly also increased her recipes for bagel spreads. She started making lox and whitefish spreads, baking more bagel recipes, and making breakfast and lunch sandwiches.
By 2020, Daly moved into a permanent bagel boutique on Chicago Avenue in Oak Park, and by 2021 the Chicago Magazine was raving about one of her sandwiches.
The bagel sandwich that put Daly on the Chicagoland foodie radar is “The Ultimate” made with whitefish pate, pickled or raw red onions, and cucumbers.
The Daly Bagel is open from 6:30am to 2pm everyday of the week!

A single bagel is $2. It’s $10 for a half dozen or $18 for a dozen. The breakfast sandwiches start at $3.50 and lunch sandwiches range from $6 to $10.
For $3.99 you can adorn your bagel with butter or a variety of delicious cream cheese toppings in flavors like roasted garlic and herb, berry basil, sweet onion, veggie, goat cheese, pickled jalapeño, and buffalo blue.
You can also purchase an eight-ounce tub of cream cheese and spreads for $4.65.
Amanda Daly is the bagel-making expert behind the counter at the Daly bagel, but you will meet a community of bagel lovers at this sandwich shop and bagel boutique. Daly says the most important ingredient in her bagels is the Daly Bagel community.
Located at 130 Chicago Avenue in Oak Park, the Daly Bagel is just nine miles west of downtown Chicago.
