A family-owned restaurant in Oak Park, the Cozy Corner Breakfast Boutique has been serving up breakfast staples for more than 60 years.
Sixty years ago, Cozy Corner was just about the only dining option in Oak Park. It was (and is!) an institution for breakfast lovers in the area.
After a makeover that modernized the old coffee shop counter space into a “breakfast boutique,” Cozy Corner is now a breakfast destination for people all over Chicagoland and beyond.
It’s well worth the train ride to partake in the “Krunchy Fat Frenchy” toast, which is a golden-fried brioche drizzled in cream and topped with cheese icing and salted caramel sauce. The Banana Nutella Crepes are another can’t-miss item on this delicious breakfast menu.
Other main dishes include Hash ‘n Eggs with corned beef hash, caramelized onions, and bell peppers or the Breakfast Tacos with scrambled eggs, chorizo, onion, tomato, and jalapeño peppers beneath a drizzling of queso fresco.
Reviewers rave about the sides, including fennel-seasoned chicken sausage and the homemade hashbrowns piled “mountain high” on the plate.
Cozy Corner is open for breakfast every day from 6am to 4pm. While breakfast is the main attraction here, there is also a lunch menu that includes burgers, sandwiches, wraps, and salads.
Breakfast skillets are about $14, crepes are about $13, omelets range from $13 to $20 for the skirt-steak omelet with onions, green peppers, and Monterey jack cheese.

This family-owned restaurant started serving eggs and coffee in 1959. Bob grew up watching his father run the restaurant and helping out in the kitchen. Today he keeps the family tradition going with an updated menu that would make his dad proud.
Located at 138 N. Marion Street, Cozy Corner is just 10 miles west of downtown Chicago. The breakfast nook is a 10-minute walk from the Harlem/Lake Stop on the CTA Green Line or a three-minute walk from the Oak Park Stop on the Union Pacific Metra.
