Meet us where sweet dreams come true
Candycopia in Oak Park welcomes customers with its counter display of over a hundred jars of colorful candies. And that’s just the beginning!
At Candycopia, you can pull up a stool at the candy bar and enjoy flights of chocolate, caramel, licorice and more.
This family-owned business celebrates local candy artisans by showcasing their small-batch, socially responsible toffee, truffles and fudge. Retro candies line the shelves here too, bringing us all back to childhood when we ate Pop Rocks, Nerds and those little, candy wax soda bottles by the handful.
There is also a candy-forward ice cream menu, where you can top sundaes with cotton candy or caramel corn.
Candycopia is open Monday through Friday from 11am to 7pm, Saturday from 10am to 7pm, and Sunday from 11am to 5pm.
Prices range depending on your candy craving, but a retro tin of candy filled with old favorites like Necco Wafers, Dots, Charleston Chew, and Abba-Zaba bars is about $45. As is a movie night bin stuffed with a mix of chocolates, gummies, popcorn, and handmade candy.
A “Candy Cake” made of 100 individually packaged candies and chocolates is the perfect birthday gift at about $85.
The Mason family opened Candycopia in their hometown of Oak Park as a way to give the priceless gift of nostalgia to the community.
Holidays spent in Cape Cod inspired Patrick Mason who watched the joy of his young daughters, Addison and Campbell, as they spun and twirled their way through local, family-owned candy shops in town.
His wife, Alycia, fully supported his dream, and together, along with their girls, the Masons opened a shop where children - and adults alike - can experience the joy of candy.
The small-batch artisans whose handmade confections are sold at Candycopia are carefully selected by the Masons for their diversity and commitment to socially responsible creations.
Candycopia is located at 717 Lake Street in the Hemingway District of Oak Park.
The candy shop is just a three-minute walk from the Oak Park Stop on the CTA Green Line and a 12-minute walk from the Oak Park Stop on the Union Pacific West Railway.
