Meet us where comfort food is what’s for breakfast
In a new location in Forest Park, Butter and Brown Bistro is thriving with breakfast eggs, pancakes, “twerkin’” french toast, and so much more.
In the eggs category, the Do or Die Steak Omelette means marinated ribeye steak, onions, peppers, tomatoes, and homemade spicy cheese sauce. The Butter and Brown Back That Thang Up Omelette is filled with bacon, ham, steak, onion, peppers, and your choice of cheese.
The pancakes and waffles come in flavors like apple cinnamon or pecan. Mix it up with Sweet Potatoes Pancakes Plate or the Chicken and Waffle Plate.
The Twerkin’ French Toast comes with pan-fried bread topped with apples and cinnamon, strawberries, blueberries, or pecans. The famed Butter and Brown Bistro Shrimp and Grits is made with white wine, cheese, and butter sauce topped with chives.
Lunch options like the Pork Chop Sandwich or Patty Melt are also available. All menu items are made-to-order.
Butter and Brown Bistro is open Tuesday through Sunday from 7am to 7pm and Monday from 7am to 2pm.
Breakfast plates range from about $8 to $15. Lunch entrees range from about $8 to $13.
Owners Tiffany and Lanell Brown first opened the doors of their Butter and Brown Bistro in 2020 in Oak Park. Despite the challenges that came with the pandemic, the breakfast bistro grew popular enough that it made sense to relocate to a larger location.
The new space in Forest Park quadruples the previous dining space and the expansive kitchen allows for more made-to-order breakfast specialties.
The bistro is a family-run business with foodies Lanell and Tiffany at the helm and daughter Brittany behind the counter.
Both Lanell and Tiffany are self-described foodies and Lanell got his start cooking for the masses while he was a cook in the United States Navy.
Butter and Brown Bistro recently moved from its location in the Oak Park business district to the Madison Street business district in Forest Park. Now located at 7321 Madison Street, the breakfast bistro is easily reached from the Harlem Stop on the CTA Blue Line or the Harlem/Lake Stop on the CTA Green Line.
