Meet us where it’s all about Benjamin’s
Chicagoland has a crowded gourmet popcorn scene, and this little shop in Broadview is changing the scenery.
With fresh-popped popcorn that never goes stale and finger-licking flavors like Chezzy Hot Caramel, Creamy White Cheddar, Butta Butta, and Cheezy Cheese, you can bet that you’re in for a treat this is as messy as it is delightful.
Reviewers say it is better than the famed popcorn shop that is ubiquitous in downtown Chicago and at the area airports. That might be because it is made fresh when you order.
Pro Tip: Order ahead if you don’t want to wait for your made-to-order popcorn.
it’s not only about Benjamin’s popcorn at this shop, there are also jerk tacos that have people raving. You can try the Jerk Steak Taco, the Chicken Taco, or a combo platter.
Benjamin’s Popcorn is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11am to 7:30 and Monday from noon to 7:30. The popcorn shop is closed on Sunday.
The “Benjamin’s Mixx” with chezzy and caramel and the Cheezy Hot Caramel flavors are $7 for a one-pound bag, $10 for a two-pound bag, and $25 for a one-gallon bucket.
Butta Butta comes only in a bucket and it’s $9.50.

Local DJ Chris Benjamin is now known for more than spinning tunes. His popcorn is topping charts across the Chicagoland area, which just happens to be an area known for its popcorn.
Benjamin started selling and promoting his homemade popcorn on Facebook, and word of mouth grew. He opened his brick-and-mortar shop in Broadview, the community where he calls home.
Come on into Benjamin’s to talk to Chris about his popcorn or about his love for the Broadview community where he has served as a football and basketball coach to thousands of local youths.
Located at 1420 Roosevelt Road in Broadview, Benjamin’s Gourmet Popcorn is just 12 miles west of downtown Chicago.
