Will Duncan, owner of the historic nightclub FitzGerald’s, partners with famed chef John Manion to bring you BBQ and music in Berwyn.
It’s a beautiful arrangement considering Chef Manion’s well-documented (and perfected) passion for cooking meat over an open flame and FitzGerald’s open patio spaces where outdoor music mingles with the smoke from the BBQ.
The chef thoughtfully gives a nod to the historic venue’s Cajun music influence with his menu filled with New Orleans-style char-grilled oysters and Po’Boy sandwiches.
If you dare, opt for the Berwyn Style Super Deluxe BBQ Board and let the chef choose your dinner.

Babygold Barbeque is grilling when FitzGerald’s is jamming:
Tuesday through Friday 5pm-11pm
Friday 5pm to midnight
Saturday noon-midnight
Sunday noon to 11pm
Closed on Mondays.
Babygold BBQ provides full-service dining for the music venue, patio, cocktail bar, and private dining space. Takeout, delivery, and catering options are also available.
Plates of brisket chili, giant chicken wings, and char-grilled oysters meant for sharing are between $12-$18. Platters of brisket are $20.
A Po’Boy sandwich is between $14-$16 depending on your meat selection (or opt for the BBQ Spiced Cauliflower for $12).
For the Berwyn Style Super Deluxe BBQ Board, it’s $29 per person (four-person minimum), and the chef will choose your food.
If you’re lucky, Chef Manion will be grilling up good meat on an open flame at Babygold BBQ.
Or maybe you’ll catch owner and Chicago entertainment veteran Will Duncan singing along with the band. Duncan bought the business from the FitzGerald family in 2020 and is preserving the name and legacy of the venue.
Even if the dynamic duo is not in residence, the staff at Babygold Barbeque and FitzGerald’s are committed to providing a great service in a laid-back atmosphere.
Babygold Barbeque is located on Roosevelt Road known as the “Veltway”. This lively stretch of road is home to an abundance of music venues and restaurants. It’s just a 15-minute drive west of Chicago or a half-mile walk from the Oak Park stop on the “L” Blue line.
