Meet us where the rooftop beckons
The Avenue Ale House and Rooftop Cafe is one of the largest and longest-running restaurant establishments in Oak Park. This hot spot in the village has a self-proclaimed “immensly large” beer selection and rooftop that’s perfect for sipping a brew.
Try the Smoked Gouda Mac N Cheese with adobo chicken, bacon, smoked gouda, and buttery bread crumbs, or snack on Buffalo Fried Calamari with homemade buffalo sauce.
The wings here are an Ale House favorite and come in flavors like garlic parmesan, twisty teriyaki, maple chipotle, and extreme heat.
And there’s the burger bar where you build your own burger. Choose from a 10-ounce grass-fed beef patty, grilled chicken, black bean patty, or spinach and feta-stuffed turkey patty. Then top your protein with your choice of cheese and add-ons like sauteed onions, mushrooms, giardiniera, fried egg, bacon, or Guinness honey mustard.
Two things that pair well with a beer on the Avenue Ale House rooftop are the Crispy Cod Street Tacos and the Grilled Pear and Goat Cheese Salad.
Avenue Ale House is open for dinner every evening except Monday and for brunch on the weekends. The restaurant’s hours are:
Tuesday 4pm to 11pm
Wednesday 4pm to 11pm
Thursday 4pm to 11pm
Friday 3pm to midnight
Saturday 11am to midnight
Sunday 11am to midnight
Don’t miss happy hour at the Ale House: Tuesday through Thursday from 5pm to 7pm and Friday from 4pm to 6pm. House wine, sangria, and well drinks are $5 and domestic bottles are $3 during happy hour.
Summers on the rooftop are especially fun at the Avenue Ale House.
Bar snacks range from $8-$12 and shared plates from $10-$13. Ten wings are $14 with the bone-in and $12 for boneless. The burger bar starts at $11. An entree will be about $15. Pair your meal with a beer for about $6.
Conveniently located just steps from the Oak Park stop on the CTA Blue Line! Avenue Ale House is nine miles west of downtown Chicago at 828 S. Oak Park Avenue.
