Meet us where a melting pot of flavors is served
Don’t call it Latin fusion, the unique menu at Amerikas is a new American cuisine that represents the melting pot of recipes and traditions that people from around the world have brought to the United States.
Chef Armando Gonzales roots his dishes in Latin flavors but uses recipes from across the United States to design a seasonal menu that represents the diversity of America.
For breakfast try the Huevos Rancheros with handmade tortillas, tomatillo salsa, black beans, queso fresco, and scrambled eggs. For lunch, we love the Surf and Turf Tacos with shrimp, Mexican chorizo, potatoes, and caramelized onions.
For dinner, the Carne Asada is hard to beat with Angus New York strip, tomatoes, chipotle, goat cheese, yuca frites, chimichurri, and cucumbers. Pair it with a Cucumber-Mint Margarita or the Amerikano Cocktail with mezcal, sweet white vermouth, triple sec, honey, and bitters.

Chef Armando Gonzales and his business partner Louis Castellano opened Amerikas in 2017, aiming to set the table with a melting pot of flavors.
Building on the success of his first restaurant, Libertad, in Skokie, Gonzales was thrilled to bring his one-of-a-kind combination of American and Latin flavors to Oak Park.
Conveniently located at 734 Lake Street, Amerikas is just a three-minute walk from the Oak Park Stop on the CTA Green Line.
