Whether you're a serious potter or curious about clay, ViaClay is the studio for you!  ViaClay is a community pottery studio in Oak Park where you can master the wheel, tap into your creative side and make your masterpieces. 


ViaClay offers classes at beginner, intermediate and advanced skill levels. You can also drop in for an open session to finish your piece or book a one-time experience.

 

Kids are also welcome at ViaClay! Sign your kiddo up for ViaClay's after school program and summer camps.

The one-time experience sessions at ViaClay are generally on Fridays and Saturdays at noon and 5pm. Ongoing classes meet once a week, check the schedule for the right skill level for you.

The one-time experience sessions are about $80 for 90 minutes. Six-week classes for adults are $300. Classes for kids range depending on the course or camp.

John Beck is both the ViaClay Operations Manager and a pottery teacher who started in ceramics while still attending Oak Park River & Forest High School. Years later, he is proud to introduce his passion for pottery to students of all ages.

All of the skilled teachers here are passionate about the craft. Let them be your guide into a new artistic community!

ViaClay is located at 208 South Marion Street in Oak Park in the Pleasant Home District. It’s about a four-minute walk from the Oak Park Stop on the Union Pacific West Metra Train or a four-minute walk from the Harlem/Lake Stop on the CTA Green Line.
