Meet us where the show is quality and affordable
A multi-stage performing arts center that is committed to maintaining a quality and affordable space to create, the Madison Street Theater is a hub for entertainment in Oak Park.
With a 180-seat main stage, a 65-seat screening room, and a rehearsal room available for rent, this community theater is home to dozens of improv, dance, and performance companies. You can almost always catch a good show at Madison Street Theater!
The state-of-the-art theater has been home to The Village Players, Circle Theatre, and the Saltbox Theatre Company. Today the Artists of Concordia call the theater home.
The theater was designed in the early 80s by local architect Errol Kirsch. Prior to its life as a theater, the building was a 1920s-era tile warehouse that was transformed by volunteers into an intimate performing arts space.
